It's Summer, What Should I Do

If you are reading this, it is very likely that you stumbled upon it by accident. I hope that beginning in the fall, this site will become a useful resource for my AP Psychology students at AHS, but for now, well, no one knows it exists. But on the off-chance that you are going to be my student this fall, and you've found this site, you must be looking for something to do. So here is a short list of some recommended books. These aren't Psychology classics, but I've read them and they should make for decent summer reading and give you a little insight into some of the things we'll be studying in the fall. So here it is:

The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules our Lives by Leonard Mlodinow

The Tipping Point, Blink, or Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

Sway: The Irresistible Pull of Irrational Behavior by Ori and Rom Brafman

Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely

Or if you're more of a visual person, here is a link to a site called "Ted Talks."  This link shows psychology related video lectures with topic descriptions.  Most videos are 10-25 minutes long.
